The Railway Recruitment Cell RRC Eastern Railway (ER) has released an online application for the recruitment of Apprentices for training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the designated trades at Units/Workshops in the West Central Railway for 3115 Apprentices through Notice No. RRC/ER/Act Apprentices/2024-25. Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria required for the Eastern Railway RRC ER Apprentice Recruitment 2024 in terms of educational qualification, and age limit have been discussed below-

Educational Qualifications

• The candidate must have passed 10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and should also possess the National Trade Certificate in the notified trade issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 15 Years
• Maximum Age: 24 Years
• Age Relaxation Extra as per Railway RRC ER Apprentice Rules 2024-2025.

Training Period & Stipend

• Selected candidates will be engaged as apprentices for the period as applicable for the designated trade and they will be paid a stipend during their training as per extant rules.
• No Hostel accommodation will be provided and selected candidates will have to make their own arrangements during their training as per Apprentices Act 1961 and they will be released on completion of the training.

Selection Process

A merit list will be drawn for eligible candidates taking the average of percentage marks obtained by the candidates. In both matriculation [with minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
