HPSC Eligibility Criteria
The Haryana Public Service Commission considers the educational qualifications and age limit of candidates to determine their eligibility for various subjects Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs) posts. Candidates must ensure they meet the eligibility criteria and enter accurate details regarding their age and qualifications in the application form to avoid cancelation.
Educational Qualifications
- Matric with Hindi/Sanskrit or 10+2/B.A/MA. with Hindi as one of the subjects.
- Certificate of having qualified Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) /School Teachers Eligibility Test (STET).
- Consistent good academic record.
- B.A/MA/M.Sc /M.Com/HTET/ STET (Relevant Subject) with at least 50% mark and B.Ed. from recognized university.
Age Limit
Candidates applying for Haryana PSC 2024 Post Graduate Teachers posts must be at least 18 years of age, with an upper age limit of 42 years, as the closing date fixed for submission of online application forms to the commission i.e. 14.08.2024. Age relaxations are provided for special reserved categories.
Application Fee
The category-wise application fee is payable through Net Banking, Debit Card and Credit Card up to 05:00 PM of the Closing Date i.e. 14.08.2024 is as under:-

Selection Procedure
The selection process for recruitment of Post Graduate Teachers consists of multiple stages, which are the Screening Test, Subject Knowledge Test, Interview, and Skill Test (If applicable). Get the details about each stage by going through the listed points.

- Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with five options (A, B, C, D, E)

- One-fourth (0.25) mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- If none of the five circles are darkened, one-fourth (0.25) mark will be deducted.

The final merit list is prepared by combining the marks of the Subject Knowledge Test and Interview/Viva-Voce, whose weightage are 87.5% and 12.5%, respectively.
